84% of U.S. adult shoppers say they’ve adjusted how they shop for food due to COVID-19: our Food Sourcing in America July/August 2020 report finds that shopping for food is now a more complex web that consumers must navigate, with a safety assessment embedded at each decision point. COVID-19 challenges have pushed consumers to shift their typical food procurement journeys, exploring new approaches. Many changes in how consumers shop for food today center on actions that shoppers can take themselves to feel safer.
