Since 1971, Hopelink has served homeless and low income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities. Hopelink's mission is to promote self-sufficiency for all members of our community; we help people make lasting change. Hopelink emergency service centers are located in Bellevue, Kirkland/Northshore, Redmond, Shoreline and Sno-Valley.
The Hartman Group is providing Hopelink with an assessment of community needs and perceptions of various external stakeholder groups (local NGOs working with hunger, recipients of hunger-related services and members of the local constituency) in the King County area. The project goal is to develop messaging and communication strategies that will increase overall community engagement and motivate action at the individual level to end hunger.
Coyote Central recruits professionals from creative fields to share their skills and inspiration with adolescents. Middle-school youth of every ethnic and economic background work with professional artists, chefs, filmmakers, dancers, metalworkers, animators and more, tackling hands-on projects in apprenticeship settings. Adolescence is a crucial age for building problem-solving and creative thinking skills, and a pivotal moment for adolescents to figure out who they are and what they want to do in the world. Coyote opens up a world of possibilities to young minds.
The Hartman Group provides financial support for Coyote Central's youth education programs.
Treehouse is uniquely committed to improving the lives of our kids living in foster care. No other agency in our region responds to the needs of our foster children like Treehouse.
Since 1988, Treehouse has filled the gaps for kids in foster care, providing services that no other agency addresses: money for extra-curricular activities and summer camp, professional educational support services, resources to fully participate in the everyday activities of growing up, clothing and supplies to help them fit in at school.
The Hartman Group conducted research to assist Treehouse in building a strategic plan to improve the high school graduation rate of local foster youth. We also sponsor school supplies and clothing donations throughout the year and support volunteer activities through our volunteer paid time off program.
